Psychologist and Life Skills Educator
Vivianne is a
licensed psychologist offering help and support to
those who may be experiencing difficulties in their lives,
and/or in their relationships with others. Through a gentle
process of self-inquiry, educational and body centered
tools, she works with individuals and couples to connect
with themselves thus sensing, identifying and releasing
limiting patterns of thoughts, feelings and behavior which
may be preventing them from leading their lives fully.
Vivianne works with
clients both in short and long-term therapy. She tailors the
therapeutic process to suit the unique goals of the
individual. She also consults with clients who wish to
establish a holistic lifestyle plan which will support their
emotional and physical wellbeing.
Vivianne graduated
from Concordia University with a Ph.D. in Psychology
having trained at the Jewish General, Royal Victoria and
Douglas Hospitals in Montreal in cognitive-behavioral,
family, couple and psychodynamic therapies.
Post-graduation, she complemented her education with the
study of mind-body practices such as focusing, meditation
and creative visualization. Other post-graduate
training includes spiritual psychotherapy, grief counseling
and psycho-oncology. Prior to becoming a Psychologist, Vivianne worked in Human Resource Management for an
international corporation in recruitment and training. Her
business experience has facilitated her work with
individuals suffering from stress, burn-out and career
transitions.
Vivianne is also
specialized in the treatment of trauma and trained in
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
which is an innovative mind/body clinical treatment that has
successfully helped millions of individuals who have
survived trauma, including sexual abuse, domestic violence,
bullying, depression and addictions, without delving into
previous old psychological material. Symptoms of trauma
